Worship Service

We know that it is difficult to visit an unfamiliar church, especially for the first time. This page will describe for you what a first visit might be like so that you will feel more comfortable joining us. We live stream our 11:00 AM worship service every Sunday.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by an usher or greeter. He or she will give you a bulletin and welcome you to the church. The bulletin sets out in simple form the order of the worship service including the hymns and scripture passages. Please feel free to sit in any pew and allow those who are already there to introduce themselves and find out your name! After the service, our pastors will greet you in the narthex.

Children are always welcome in worship. They will be invited to come forward for a children’s message just before the sermon, if they would like to participate. We love a sanctuary full of life and activity!

Some men wear coats and ties. Some women may wear dresses to our services. Most dress quite casually. Wear what is comfortable for you – ALL are welcome!

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper several times a year. In the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ALL are welcome to partake.

You are welcome, but not obligated or expected, to contribute. Our collections are offerings back to God of a portion of the resources with which we have been blessed and are used for needs in the church, the community, and the world.

Our pastor can answer your questions about how to become a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Generally, the three ways to join are: (1) Profession of Faith, (2) Reaffirmation of Faith, and (3) Transfer of Letter of Membership. Contact the pastor at 336-667-1288 or by email at Rev. R.C. Griffin.

If you have questions or feedback after your visit, please contact the church by telephone (336-667-1288) or email.
