North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church seeks to be a place where folks of all ages can join us in our mission to be a Welcoming, Growing, Serving, and Loving people of faith Together. In our Youth Group, we provide a space for all middle and high schoolers to live into and experience our shared mission along side other folks their age and adults who act as both leaders and companions on the shared life of faith.

What we Do

The Youth Group (6th-12th graders) engages in regular Peace & Justice projects and events that help us to actively do the work of loving our neighbors and all of God’s creation. These activities include, but are not limited to, hands-on building projects, making bagged lunches for Wilkes Ministry of Hope, and running in the YMCA’s Dirty Dozen 5K Obstacle Mud Run to raise money to benefit cancer survivors and other chronic disease programs.

The youth also gather for a wide range of just-for-fun activities, like lock-ins, trips to the trampoline park, bonfire nights at the church fire pit and Teddy Bear Football.

Over the summer, the youth continue to stay engaged with trips to the Montreat Youth Conference and the Massanetta Springs Middle School Conference.
